Cloris Leachman, the 82 year old Dancing with the Stars contestant, was on The View yesterday. She couldn't believe that she was up at 3:00 a.m. to participate in an interview--she giggled the entire time. She and her young partner "danced" and afterwards she asked for a chair. The hosts began to praise her for her enthusiasm and mentioned that she is a role model for others.
They told her that now that she has danced, she has inspired others and let them know that they can do whatever they want.
Her reply was "Just because he holds my legs up and spins me around does not mean that I can do it. My suggestion is just get in bed and be old."
We can get in bed and be old, but we certainly don't want to stay there. This stage does require a little rest, when needed, and I think that was Cloris' message.
